I was a bit surprised by the little pop up window saying "This edition of Aurora was created for temporary use in proving the programs coherence with Eudora." on 1-1-25. Oh and that it has expired. I must have missed the info or notice on that. So how did the test go?
Okay, donation made. Not sure how much as it was in US dollars as opposed to Canadian (the only choice close enough). So I bumped it up to 150.00 CAD which included the tip of 22.00. It kinda suggested that 70 US is 90 CAD, so I should be good. I do have another question about Aurora. One line states: "...but the fundamental takeaway is that a direct lineal descendant of Eudora 7.1 exists right now. We at Team HERMES are calling it Aurora" but it also states later: It's essential to highlight that...
What's this Aurora you speak of? I'd be willing to donate to the Eudora repair/replacement project (show me how, where) to get a reliable something something Eudora. I've been following along about how tricky the design of Eudora was. It would be fantastic if you wonderful brainiacs just rewrote the whole thing in current coding that looks and feels like the original, but operates in today's standards. (So it wouldn't be such an ordeal to update it as needed, ya know?) I ran into a new issue today...
This sucks. I would/will have to add all four of my google accounts to my phone to turn on Two-Step Verification + App Password (and do it for each account) and one account is always active on my phone. I don't want google constantly checking my mail (and alerting me for every damn piece of crap message) much less tying them together to that phone number. It would be in my interest to find a new client that I can have multiple installations (for specific separation of accounts) so I can remove the...
Is it still working?
Well, they done it. And I don't see anything for "App Specific Password" to be had. Correction; https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 I'm playing with it now but... Unless the brilliant people here can add on security that equals the newer clients, Eudora seems to be done for use with Google. Update: No. Apps, and the idea of Apps revolve around your phone. You can't "give Eudora app access" like a third party app would request access. Update2: Just as I typed the above statement, Eudora...
