hi everyone, medit has been my favorate text/code editor for well over a decade. since it was removed from Debian/Ubuntu a few years ago due to the discontinuation of Python2, I had forked the code (v1.2.92pre) in my github repo (https://github.com/fangq/medit), and made some changes so I can still build a local copy for my own use (mostly on Ubuntu LTS).
