LANGUAGE! Live® is a comprehensive literacy intervention for struggling students in grades 5–12. With a blended approach, LANGUAGE! Live’s instruction reinforces the literacy foundations students need while strategically using authentic text to engage and accelerate them to grade-level proficiency. By combining the power of technology with teacher-led scaffolded instruction, LANGUAGE! Live provides a safe environment for students to receive the intensive intervention needed to reinforce foundational skills and acquire language comprehension skills. LANGUAGE! Live is built on the science of reading and activates the Reading Brain. It aims to promote at least a two-year gain in grade-level reading, helping students access more complex texts, acquire a wider and deeper vocabulary, and become more knowledgeable about their world. LANGUAGE! Live is exclusively designed for adolescent students and provides age-appropriate and age-respectful content that appeals to their lifestyle.

Accelerated Reader is a digital reading-management program developed by Renaissance that helps schools, teachers, and librarians manage, monitor, and motivate independent reading practice among students. Students choose books at their reading level and read them at their own pace. After finishing a book, they take a computerized comprehension quiz via AR to assess their understanding. Each book in the AR catalog is assigned a readability level (via the ATOS readability formula) and a point value based on length and complexity; when students successfully pass the quiz, they earn points. These points contribute toward personalized reading goals set by teachers. Teachers (and in some cases parents) receive detailed feedback and reporting on each student’s reading behavior, including books read, comprehension, progress toward goals, and reading volume.
