Poppins Payroll is a household-employee payroll and tax service designed specifically for families who employ nannies, caregivers, housekeepers, or other domestic workers. The platform handles employer registration (such as obtaining a federal EIN and state accounts), new-hire reporting, gross-to-net paycheck calculations, pay-stub generation, PTO tracking, and automatic tax filings (federal, state, and local), including quarterly and year-end returns. Users can pay employees via direct deposit, or supply their own checks or transfers, and securely access tax forms and payroll history for at least five years. Poppins supports pay schedules (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly depending on state rules), tracks leave balances, and ensures compliance with minimum wage, overtime, and tax-withholding regulations specific to each U.S. state.
