Maybe you can get the USB link software from Samsung or from the service provider. Or try other Samsung models. I had an LGVX150 but had to use the VX550 setting. If the phone has Bluetooth you could send pictures and contact info (vcards) to a laptop or other device. Another tack might be to burn a "Live Linux" CD or DVD and see if it can see into the phones file system.
