The pySpec project is a set of data analysis routines written in python for analysis of x-ray diffraction data produced by the SPEC X-Ray Diffraction and Data Acquisition software. This repo has moved to : https://github.com/stuwilkins/pyspec

This software is designed to help users visualize and analyze 3D point clouds with an associated real value, in a fast and flexible fashion. The primary use is in Atom Probe Tomography, which is an atomic imaging technique. However the program may also be useful in other areas, such as geospatial data, lidar, etc.

The X-ray Strain Orientation Calculation Software (X-SOCS) is a user-friendly software, developed for automatic analysisof 5D sets of data recorded during continuous mapping measurements. xSonify is a Java-based sonification data analysis prototype for displaying science data as sounds, with an emphasis on supporting visually-impaired researchers. The goal of the Perl OBD-II Logger project is to create a flexible and efficient application that can capture and log OBD-II Mode 0x01 PID data from an automotive scantool. It is designed with accurate and efficient PID data logging in mind, and provides NO support for reading or resetting diagnostic trouble codes. By default, the output log file contains time-stamped PID values in a simple Comma Separated Values (CSV) format that can be readily imported into popular data analysis or spreadsheet applications. (Output to an SQLite3 database file is also available). It is written in Perl, so it runs in any computing environment with a working Perl interpreter. The program supports scantools that are based on the ELM Electronics ELM327 or OBD Solutions STN1110 programmed microcontrollers. It has been tested with scantools using legacy RS-232 serial, serial over USB, and Bluetooth hardware interfaces. Perl OBD-II Logger even runs on the popular Raspberry Pi computer!

ThermV thermal analysis software package aims to provide the most sophisticated automatic analysis of thermal analysis data (TG/DTG, DTA and DSC). It offers new algorithm for concurrent peak deconvolution at different heating rates and provides full kinetic analysis of these data, including isoconversional methods for Ea, determination of reaction model and full kinetic triplet, Avrami coefficients, and dimensionality of crystal growth for reactions in the solid state. The project is currently in alpha stage, where individual modules will be provided for data analysis. The modules for peak deconvolution, peak profile analysis and determination of Ea and lnA will be provided first. Full GUI will be provided in beta stage. Due to computational limitations, the code is partly programmed in Python and partly in R. Python code will eventually be fully integrated into GUI.
