We live in very exciting times 😃! BLDC motors are entering the hobby community more and more and many great projects have already emerged leveraging their far superior dynamics and power capabilities. BLDC motors have numerous advantages over regular DC motors but they have one big disadvantage, the complexity of control. Even though it has become relatively easy to design and manufacture PCBs and create our own hardware solutions for driving BLDC motors the proper low-cost solutions are yet to come. One of the reasons for this is the apparent complexity of writing the BLDC driving algorithms, Field oriented control (FOC) being an example of one of the most efficient ones. The solutions that can be found online are almost exclusively very specific for certain hardware configurations and the microcontroller architecture used. Additionally, most of the efforts at this moment are still channeled towards the high-power applications of the BLDC motors and proper low-cost FOC.

JDIFF is a program that outputs the differences between two binary files, either in binary format or in human readable format (detailed or summarized) and then allows to reconstruct the second file from the first one and the diff-file.

The toolkit glpk supports methods for mixed integer linear programming (MILP). These methods solve Capital Budgeting Problems (CBP). Unfortunately, glpk does not support any multithreading and there is no feature to distribute problems via network connections. Today, this is a pitiable sight, because modern computer systems are coupled by networks and support multi threading. We create a distributed system with Apache thrift and the C-API of glpk. Now, it is possible to use as many cores in a network as you want. With a focus on the MILP methods we implement a load balancing and speed up the solving process in a multiplicative way. Sometimes we have super-linear speedup with a small set of hardware. With a splitting of problems, parallel computing and distributing the actual best solution to all running processes we solve CBP much faster than a sequential processing can do.

DMTA (Distributed Multithreaded Apriori) is a parallel implementation of Apriori algorithm, which exploits the parallelism at the level of threads and processes, seeking to perform load balancing among the cores. Was implemented in C++ language, using the parallelization libraries OpenMP and MPI. The algorithm was generated as a result of a project developed by André Camilo Bolina, under the guidance of teachers Marluce Rodrigues Pereira, Ahmed Ali Abdalla Esmin and Denilson Alves Pereira, in Department of Computer Science at Federal University of Lavras. This library is being created as I have a need to do very fast FFTs on low end devices not supporting the NEON instruction set. The Raspberry Pi is an ideal candidate for developing in gcc before porting to JNI for low spec Android devices, hence it's inclusion. Fixed point 16/32 integer FFT library suitable for the Raspberry Pi and Android devices. Includes test stubs for gcc on the Raspberry Pi and a Basic4Android wrapper from JNI. It includes hand optimised ARMv6 assembler, demonstrating techniques such as pipeline stuffing to achieve maximum performance. It also demonstrates how to include large chunks of assembler inline with C/C++ thus avoiding ABI issues between platforms.
