GnuCOBOL implements a substantial part of the COBOL 85, X/Open COBOL and newer ISO COBOL standards (2002, 2014, 2023), as well as many extensions included in other COBOL compilers (IBM COBOL, MicroFocus COBOL, ACUCOBOL-GT and others). GnuCOBOL translates COBOL into C and internally compiles the translated code using a native C compiler. -

...Other wise know as ocic-gui. This gui was inspired by Gary Cuttler's OpenCOBOL version OCIC which is a console based app written in, yeah you guessed it, OpenCOBOL, now GnuCOBOL. It seems that the project was started and then forgotten. I am going to try to finish it and also add an editor extension. This project will be at first only for windows. I will also add a windows gui builder that can be used with Gnucobol.
