"Subscription is not the cheapest" Posted 2025-10-14
Pros: easy to use, even a kid can use it lol. the tools they provide, like pdf editor & signer are also good, I use em the most.
Cons: of course the price. I'm a new to freelance and don't really have big budgets.
Overall: Subscription is not the cheapest, but at least I don’t feel tricked. Everything I tried worked without hidden paywalls

"How I got scammed by PDF Guru" Posted 2025-10-03
Pros: N/A
Cons: How PDF Guru Scammed Me
While browsing PDF Guru’s website, I came across an offer that stated their service could be used for a one-time payment of $0.99. I decided to try it out. However, a week later—without any prior notice, email, or my authorization—they charged $49.99 to the same card I used for the $0.99 payment.
I immediately contacted their support team, and they claimed to have processed a $49.99 refund, instructing me to wait 14 business days (23 calendar days) for the amount to reflect in my account. I found this unreasonable, considering they withdrew the money in an instant, but refunding it supposedly takes weeks.
After the 14 business days passed, the refund still hadn’t appeared. Despite their repeated claims that the money had already been sent, my bank confirmed that no such transaction was received.Overall: I’m sharing this experience not just as a personal lesson but also to warn my 2.7 million Instagram followers and the public to be cautious when dealing with companies like PDF Guru.

"Auto-Charged $49 After Trial - No Warning Email, No Refunds" Posted 2025-10-01
Pros: No pros if they rob you.
Cons: I signed up for DPF Guru's free trial. What I didn't expect: being charged $49 without any notification that my trial was ending or that a charge was coming. No email warning. No "your trial ends in 3 days" reminder. Just a surprise charge.
When I contacted customer service within 24 hours, they refused a refund, citing their "non-refundable" policy.Overall: WHAT BOTHERS ME THE MOST >> This is a deliberate business practice. Sending a reminder email costs nothing. They choose not to because surprise charges are profitable. I'm not disputing that I signed up for a trial. I'm disputing the lack of basic customer courtesy that every legitimate subscription service provides. Netflix reminds you. Adobe reminds you. Even my local gym sends a text.

"Really not bad." Posted 2025-09-30
Pros: I like they do it quickly, with no hidden manipulations or additional charges. seems legit, cause my bank doesn't allow some shaky services to charge me.
Cons: it should be smoother in usage. shouldn't cost that much.
Overall: The service isn’t perfect but it worked smoothly and did exactly what I needed. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with it

"Avoid them at all cost" Posted 2025-09-18
Pros: Nothing I liked about it.please find further description on the cons part. Avoid them at all cost!!!!
Cons: I signed up for what was advertised as a simple trial for under €1. What they don’t tell you clearly is that unless you cancel—buried deep in their terms—you’ll be charged €49.99 monthly. That’s exactly what happened to me. I never agreed to a subscription, and despite sending multiple complaints, they ignored every single one. No refund, no resolution—just silence.
This company operates like a subscription trap, preying on unsuspecting users. Their customer service is nonexistent, and they seem perfectly content profiting off deception. I consider this behavior fraudulent and unethical.Overall: Do not click on their site. Do not trust their trial. Avoid PDF Guru at all costs.

" Awful Customer Support - Never Acknowledged Subscription Cancellation Emails " Edited 2025-09-02
Pros: N/A.
Cons: I am upset that I got charge $49.99 for a monthly fee. I tried it out for a $.99 "one-time" use and immediately cancelled via email, within 48 hours....no acknowledgement. I sent another follow up email after another 2 days....still no acknowledgement.
Overall: Now I found that they charged my bank account, $49.99. Until now, they have never acknowledged my email. I sent it to :support@pdfguru.com ; info@pdfguru.com; help@pdfguru.com; and social@pdfguru.com but none of these ever replied. I don't think any of these emails are working. I will give them 24 hours to reply to me otherwise, I will report PDF Guru to INTERPOL's Cybercrime Unit since this is a crossborder scam / fraud operation and to Cyprus Police's Office for Combating Cybercrime (OCC) since they are registered in Cyprus.

"Sheeting, A fraud" Posted 2025-08-26
Pros: It does the job, but sheeting.
Cons: It asks you to pay money for every action. Then after a week they withdraw non-refundable 45 USD without prior notice. There is a little note about that you hardly see. After paying the 45 USD, if you decide to use the application, it asks you again to pay for every action. It is a fraud 100% avoid using it.
Overall: It is sheeting an a fraud avoid using it.

"Title: Beware – Misleading 99¢ Subscription Offer Turned Into $49.99/Month Scam" Posted 2025-08-09
Pros: NONE.
There is no Pros only scamming peoples starting from 99 cents turn into $49.99/month.Cons: I signed up for what I thought was a 99¢ subscription and never even used the product. Without my knowledge, I was being charged $49.99 per month for 18 months.
When I finally noticed and called to cancel, they immediately offered me a 6-month refund—which tells me they know exactly what they’re doing. Even more insulting, during that same call they offered me a 2-year subscription for just 99¢ (smile), showing the whole “premium” price is a complete gimmick.
To make matters worse, I discovered that the same exact product—with the same features—is available from another company for $49.99 per year, not per month.
This company’s business model feels deceptive and predatory. Please be aware and check your statements carefully.Overall: 1 star ⭐️ is too much being cannot give zero stars as they deserved

"Avoid this company!" Edited 2025-08-01
Pros: I just tried to convert a simple pdf to a word format page.Just for training. I paid 2€ for 7 days ( that is Ok) but after that they changed me 49.99€!!!for a subscription month!!!
Cons: You pay 2€ for a one time 5 days purchase but it is hidden one month 50€ purchase description! Be aware of this scams and thieves!!!
Overall: It isn’t purchasing a one time 5 days purchase (€1.99) like it seems, it’s a subscription and after the first week you are charged €50 Euro, this company is the worst, hidden terms and conditions and they are proud of that fact, pathetic! Avoid at any cost!!!!

This was what they answered:
Hello Nikolaos,
Thank you so much for getting in touch!
I’m here to provide you with the necessary details regarding your purchase to help clear up the matter.
According to our records, you signed up for our service on Jul 25, which began with a 7-day trial period. As per our policy, once the trial ends, it automatically renews into a paid monthly plan unless it has been canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Please accept my apologies if this information didn’t stand out during the sign-up process. I completely understand how it’s possible to miss certain details, especially when things are busy.
Furthermore, to avoid any future charges, please be sure to cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Since the subscription wasn’t canceled in time, the renewal fee was automatically charged to your account. You can always review the full details in our Subscription Terms for more clarity.
Getting back to your inquiry, I understand this may be disappointing, but according to our Refund Policy, payments made through our website are non-refundable. Therefore, I’m unable to process a refund, as this is consistent with the policies outlined in our Money-Back policy, which can be found on our website.
However, please rest assured that your subscription has been canceled, so no further payments will be made.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to support you.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
When i tried to refund my money they said that's the terms of our policy. I don't even get a refund via PayPal cause they are well protected!!!Reply from PDF Guru -

"Scammy Billing – Charged Before Trial Ended and Refused Refund" Posted 2025-07-30
Pros: N/A.
Cons: I started the 7-day free trial on July 23 and was charged $49.99 on July 30—before the trial even ended. I contacted support immediately and explained the issue, but they flat-out refused to refund me.
Overall: This feels like a scam. They advertise a trial, then charge early and won’t take responsibility. It’s dishonest and shows they care more about grabbing your money than treating customers fairly. Avoid this app unless you want to fight to get your money back.

Pros: Nothing. Its a dodgy cheap website. Uploads were quick though but thats cause they want your money to scam you
Cons: They don't tell you theres a charge. Comes up in a free google search. Then you upload document and go to download they ask you to pay one of 3 options. I took cheapest and limited access.
8 days later they are stealing 76 dollars from my account after I thought I had 1 dollar to get the one download I needed. Support cancel when I call and email but no refund. 77 dollars for one document.Overall: Dodgy company. Support don't help or speak once they tell you you've been scammed and done your cash.
