MX-25.1_XFCE for Raspberry Pi 4/5

I have updated the official version of Jerry3904's respin of mx23.6_rpi_respin_arm64 with XFCE to the current version of MX-Linux 25.1. on my blog you can find the steps I followed to update it from an installation of version 23.6 to the current 25.1.

Or, you can also download my updated copy. As it is a copy of an installation, it does not have the MX-Linux installer option to configure the user and system location, as in the original. Once the “.img” image has been copied to the RPI, the system resizes on the first boot and starts with the user ‘demo’ and password “demo”. Before logging in, you can choose the keyboard and system language. Once logged in, you can remove the keyboard you don't need with “system-keyboard-qt-launcher” and create a new user with “mx-user.” From there, you can delete the previous “demo” user to have a completely new and functional installation.

Senpai Respin of MX-25.1_Fluxbox for RaspberryPi 3/4/5

I have created a personal respin of the official version of MX-Linux with Fluxbox for RaspberryPi 3/4/5, so that it can run on the RaspberryPi3 with only 1GB of RAM. I have also tested the same image with my 8 GB Raspi4 and it works perfectly. If you try it with other hardware, please comment on it in the MX forum.

The official version comes with Chromium and a minimum of programs. I have only added the minimalist Dillo browser, a lightweight music player such as Audacious, and the PCmanFM file manager.

To reduce RAM consumption, I disabled the services I don't use from “MX-Service Manager,” which are related to “printers and samba,” but they can be reactivated without any problems...

He actualizado la versión oficial del respin de Jerry3904 de mx23.6_rpi_respin_arm64 con XFCE, a la la versión actual de MX-Linux 25.1, en mi blog teneis los pasos que he seguido para actualizarlo desde una instalación de la versión 23.6 a la actual 25.1.

O, también podéis descargar mi copia actualizada, al ser una copia de una instalación, no tiene como en la original, la opción del instalador de MX-Linux para configurar el usuario y localización del sistema, una vez copiada la imagen ".img" a la RPI, el sistema se redimensiona en el primer arranque e inicia con el usuario "demo" y contraseña "demo", antes de iniciar la sesión podemos elegir el idioma del teclado y del sistema, una vez iniciado podéis quitar el teclado que no necesitéis con "system-keyboard-qt-launcher", y crear un usuario nuevo con "mx-user" y desde él, borrar el anterior "demo" para tener una instalación totalmente nueva y funcional.

Senpai Respin de MX-25.1_Fluxbox para RaspberryPi 3/4/5

He creado un respin personal de la versión oficial de MX-Linux con Fluxbox para raspberryPi 3/4/5, para que pueda funcionar en la RaspberryPi3 con solo 1GB de ram. La misma imagen también la he probado con mi Raspi4 de 8 GB y funciona perfectamente, si la prueban con otro hardware, por favor comentarlo en el foro de MX.

La versión oficial viene con Chromium y un mínimo de programas, yo solo he añadido el navegador minimalista Dillo, un reproductor de música ligero como Audacious y el administrador de archivos PCmanFM.

Para bajar el consumo de RAM desde "MX-Service Manager" he desactivado los servicios que yo no uso, que tienen que ver con "impresoras y samba", pero se pueden volver a activar sin problemas...
