Equalizer APO Reviews

I also dig this software BUT i have experienced issues with this working with Realtek drivers. Either my sound stops working, and i need to reinstall my sound drivers, and then i need to reinstall Equalizer APO, so for me it is a 5 out of 10 rating. Also the gui crashes for me when i run it in windows 7 64 bit BUT it is fine in windows 32 bit, i have tried different old and new versions.

That is the BEST EQ (using Peace GUI) since my IDT control panel is not supported anymore on my old HP laptop (2009 model) under windows 10 64bit. WAAAAAY way better than the IDT control panel, no BS compression and SRS crap processing and flimsy EQ settings. Changed the audio device from IDT to the standard High Definition audio driver from windows. One thing I was missing with the old IDT control panel was GAIN. Now there is +30dB of gain AVAILABLE !!! Most awesome software you can install to get the best sound quality for YOUR taste. Peace GUI set to 30 band EQ and I can fine tweak those Shure ear buds perfectly to my taste. Eats a little bit of resources on CPU (core i7 720QM) but besides that, everything works perfectly, no glitch at all. My old laptop NEVER sounded better than this time ! Amazing. Using it with PEACE GUI for Equalizer APO. Simply the best. Takes care of System Wide audio clipping issues! Works great with older creative sound cards with Daniel K drivers!

I use this with PEACE front. All I can say is I have always needed such flexibility throughout my entire computing life and I wish I had this so much sooner! Just superb!

Opened in Editor tool "config.txt". Now no sound. Program just crashes on startup. Can't be used anymore.

Registered to just let you know how great this software is. I own a pair of half decent headphones I picked up from GAME (Razer Kraken USB with mic), they're really quite bass heavy and a lot of detail in the high end is fogged by it, all I needed to do was install this and boost the highs and lower the bass frequencies and they now sound like a well balanced pair of headphones. Wasn't really looking for anymore than this, excellent and simple.

This product makes nearly every speaker and microphone sound absolutely incredible. God bless these creators! I just wish there was a second drop down box to have settings for headphones and settings for your microphone so that they run at the same time without having to use the text editor. Other than that this thing is flawless.

I use it on bluetooth headphones but when you can't connect the damn things for whatever reason, you have no other choice but to un-pair/re-pair them, open up Configuration, tick the headphones and reboot, every single time. Such a stupid design.

Using it with a set of vintage JBL L100s in order to smooth out their bass response. Easy installation, works as advertised. Very flexible.

ALERT !!! LOCKS OUT WINDOWS 10 BUILD 10586+ PCs !!! Equalizer apo IS STILL NOT UPDATED, it's STILL THE OLD 1.1.1 RELEASE, DON'T use it on a Windows 10 10586 PC, it will totaly locks you out, every apps or program that have sound will not open, you can't even uninstall it ! BEWARE THE VIRUS ! Contacting sourceforge about this right now.

THE best EQ out! Many thigs still to figure out, but the unlimited band / unlimited adjustment on the EQ is perfect!

Well, what can I say. My midrange Logitech speakers suddenly went HiFi. I am truly amazed. Equalizer APO is a must-have, and I will happily pay for it, just tell me how to donate to your project. Kudos, and please keep up the good work.

Brilliant, Recently upgraded to a, Win 10 Gaming computer, 24" monitor with speakers, now gives me decent volume, to listen to online radio.. But when AKG Studio Headphones plugged into tower.. Beautiful sound.. yet to try AMD 8.1 Digital sound.. Oh also works great on my 6 yr old laptop, running win 10 no prob..

Every computer should have this installed. This is the best program I've discovered in a long time. While I have a HTC-Omega Claro II PCIe sound-card installed in my desktop PC and it provides a pretty good EQ system with its software; it is not as technically deep as this one, with its 32-band tweakability. I think this a great and must-have program for laptop systems, especially to bring more life to a portable speaker (my primary reason for searching out a good EQ for Windows). With this program I was able to enhance and round out the bass nicely, bring the vocals to the front of the mix and make the highs crisp and clear, all without static fuzziness/feedback. Right now I am using a Soundbot SB520 portable speaker connected via a 3.5mm audio cable to a Lenovo 11e that uses Realtek sound drivers and I am enjoying it quite thoroughly. The minimalist GUI is simple, nice and snappy in response. It is essentially perfect, in my honest opinion. Yes; I am an 'audiophile' and like to make my music sound as good as it can get, at all times. I am going to install this on all my systems now!

Terrific software! Perfectly complements REW. The GUI is also very useful. The only thing I was missing is an ABX test between fiters so I wrote one myself, check out the project EqABX

Professional as always, 5 stars sure. is it possible to flip or invert a single audio channel ?? "Inverting sound data reverses the polarity of a waveform around its baseline" this option will open a wide and unlimited audio editing!!

Are you kidding me? I Have searched a free "system wide eq" for years! Just started using it and so far its sooo good. Only thing that could maybe be improved: Some stuff looks like its not optimized for 4k resolution. But hey its an equalizer and IT WORKS :D I have a strong urge to give you money but sourcefourge doenst have a donation system right? Please advise :)

This program is awesome, works flawlessly. I use with PEACE to configure several audio devices depending on what I have plugged in. Wish it used Zero Install though. If anyone gave this program less than 5 star they don't know what they're doing. I have this installed over 10 different pc's and laptops, never a problem with any of them, occasional reinstall if it stops working, thats it.

I wanted to believe it is that good. But so many of the 5 star reviews sound contrived, and the forum has many criticisms and instances of failure and corruption. It is difficult to know the truth. It's difficult enough these days for the above average user to configure and control Windows 10, but then to face the prospect that installing an app such as this will corrupt the desktop...well, the only safe way is to use an imaging program so that the system can be restored.

Easy to use and universal equalizer. Fully functional. the only equalizer that will work for Bluetooth speaker.
