Would be good to have a filter for dates so that only tracks (parts of tracks) within a time range are shown. Or even better a "time slider" that allows you to slide along a track by time.
The use case is that I sometimes need to know where I was on a particular day. Although the tracks are named by date and time, it's a lot of scrolling and selecting/unselecting tracks. Also the time slider would be enormous fun as you could retrace a journey.
In the current code base (to be in v1.6) there is a feature to search for an item on a specified date - the first matching track is automatically selected.
One day I hope to create a more advanced search such that it could list tracks that fall within a specified date range (much like your suggested filter).
Further I also have long term thoughts on producing a 'replay' facility, which would include some form of slider to jump around the a track.
