On a distro with an up-to-date automake, configure fails like this:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;configure: error: cannot run /bin/sh ./config.sub&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This would mean that it would also fail if automake was not installed.&lt;br /&gt;
From what I've heard, to fix this the source tarball "should be made with `make dist` instead of just taring up the svn checkout."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">hoodbild</dc:creator><pubDate>Sun, 02 Sep 2012 02:54:23 -0000</pubDate><guid>https://sourceforge.net2fe853a6fcbaac0155cd70815246e7339d9ff456</guid></item></channel></rss>
