On a distro with an up-to-date automake, configure fails like this:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;configure: error: cannot run /bin/sh ./config.sub&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This would mean that it would also fail if automake was not installed.&lt;br /&gt;
From what I've heard, to fix this the source tarball "should be made with `make dist` instead of just taring up the svn checkout."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</summary></entry></feed>
