components to the desktop (e.g. a dialog) from the init&lt;br /&gt;
method then it won't appear. This is a rather nasty&lt;br /&gt;
problem because one is expected to initialize the GUI&lt;br /&gt;
(i.e. to fill it with some live data) in the init&lt;br /&gt;
method. Now how do you report errors during the&lt;br /&gt;
initialization? E.g. if you load some data from disk or&lt;br /&gt;
try to access an external device to load the initial&lt;br /&gt;
