And I get the same thing. Since Tk is using some of the windows native menu API, there's nothing to be done to change it (that I know of). I will need to make a further change so that the menu foreground can be set. Let me ask someone who I think is using awdark on Windows. And using firefox as a test for thematic elements can be problematical, as firefox writes their own GUI. adwaita (light) also has a darker color. There's nothing more that I can do about that. Hence the suggestion to use -relief flat. I'm a bit confused as whether you are talking about menus or toolbuttons. I can see the darker background. I think however the usual way other apps handles it is to have it in light color, i.e. the same background color used when hovering with the mouse on the icon. A good example for me is Firefox Dark. As far as the thickness of the menu is concerned, it is something now I have to set in my script? I find it okay too. However the thick border is not the typical approach on Windows Dark. Simply right clicking on the Desktop, and looking at the popup will give you an example of what I mean. The border is really thin. This is also what I have seen so far on all other applications I have used. The other themes included are only available as scaled svg themes. That they worked at all without svg was a mistake (and I could not reproduce that behavior). It was never my intention to duplicate those themes without svg.
