YADE (SOSFTP) News

Our Open Source product JADE has been renamed to YADE. The reason for this move is, that the brand JADE® is copyrighted by a company in New Zealand. SOS decided to remedy this situation immediately.

For the brand YADE, SOS GmbH has filed a trademark to protect the copyright of the Open Source software. This project once started with a copyleft, however, in order to prevent legal issues that result of third party claims we switch to the trademark YADE®.

For our users this change of brand does not have technical implications for the releases under maintenance.
