Can't use any mirror

When running slackpkg 2.81 on Slackware 10.1;
> slackpkg update
I tried 5 or 6 mirrors, but no one can be reached.
It displays "Resolving (current mirror) failed: Host not found.
Checked one mirror: it was accessible with firefox

Support for Slamd64

Hi , I created a small patch to add support for slamd64 linux. Its not perfect but hopefully I can figure it out well. would be good to see this included so in the future versions its not needed to patch it.

search is broke?!

Trying to search for files i found that slackpkg seens to not find things:

# slackpkg search libc-

The list below shows all packages with the selected pattern.

[ installed ] - devs-2.3.1-noarch-24
[ installed ] - man-pages-2.39-noarch-1
[ installed ] - linux-howtos-20060829-noarch-1
[ installed ] - aspell-en-6.0_0-noarch-2
[ installed ] - getmail-4.6.3-noarch-1

but its there:

# grep /libc- /var/log/packages/*

i already do a slackpkg update several times and didnt make any change

problem with update and running upgradeall

Currently using slackpkg 2.09.
When I update the list of packages it retrives a whole lot of index.html.xx being xx a number.

I can upgrade a package at a time, uninstall one at a time or install one at a time. When ran slackpkg upgrade-all I get this error.

And that is all, I tried several mirrors with the exact same luck.

Blocking problem

When run slackpkg at first time the follow message is sent:
"Some problem writing slackpkg's temporary dir in /tmp.
Probably you don't had permissions to wrote on /tmp or
it's full.
Fix it and run slackpkg again."

If try to run again:
"Another instance of slackpkg is running. If this isn't
true, you can remove
/var/lock/slackpkg.* files and run slackpkg again."

I detected the problem at line 43:
TMPDIR=`mktemp -p /tmp -d slackpkg.XXXXXX 2>/dev/null
|| echo "FAILED"`
I changed for:
TMPDIR=`mktemp -q /tmp/slackpkg.XXXXXX>/dev/null ||
echo "FAILED"`

and everything works correctly.

blacklist does not handle '+'

Blacklist does not work for package names containing
'+', f.ex "gcc-g++". Tested on version 1.4 of slackpkg.

minor: alsa and aspell in current

Hi. I would not call these bugs, but minor issues :)
Great job on slackpkg, using it to keep my
installations current and in preparation for 10.1.

I noticed that after running

slackpkg upgrade slackware

with a mirror pointing to 'current' the alsa drivers
are not updated. Is this expected? Probably something
can be tweaked in the package name to get this to
install, not sure.

anspell is also not upgrading via slackpkg (I am using
the mirror in Austria.) The file downloads but checking
fails. Probably a mirror issue?

Is there a way for me to check if there are other
packages that have not been upgraded? The alsa drivers
one was obvious since sound was not working :)

The search options returns strange results.

When I do

slackpkg search kernel

I get alot of diffretn packages. Which probably is
correct. But the strange thing is that it say things like

[ upgrade ] - kernel-ide-2.4.26-i486-3 -->
kernel-ide-2.4.22-i486-2

But when I do

slackpgk search kernel-id

I get better results.

[ installed ] - kernel-ide-2.4.26-i486-3

Why is this so???

but there is no patches directory in slackware-current
