When the following statements are uploaded along with Merge.kif and Mid-level-ontology.kif, it results in a PermGen Space Error. I've deduced that the offending statement is the one that declares that the domain is an &%AssociativeFn.

When using the online interface e.g. searching for Table produces

where Mid-level-ontology.kif 2780-2781 is clickable, but following the link produces http errror 500. I assume the intention was for the link to point to the kb where the term is defined.

Null Pointer Exception when test contains no query

I did a test (inference test) which did not contain a (query ) node. The interface threw a null pointer exception. I have attached the screen.

I have a Sigma install that seems to be working, but whenever I first log into the web interface, I get the following messages on the screen. This is before I have added any KB's or content to the system (right out of box). I am running sigma-2-02. Are the messages important?

Cannot find inference engine?

I installed on Windows XP in the My Documents directory and when I logged into the web application for the first time, a huge list of messages appear on the initial web page below the KB list. I have attached a scrape and copy of the whole page to this bug. The important part may be at the end:

No local inference engine is available

I installed by unpacking sigma-2-02.zip in My Documents and since I have Tomcat running on demand (not as a service), I set the following environment variables:
CATALINA_HOME = C:\Documents and Settings\alanm\My Documents\Installs\apache-tomcat-5.5.23
CATALINA_OPTS = -Xms500M -Xmx1000M
JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_02
SIGMA_HOME = C:\Documents and Settings\alanm\My Documents\Knowledge\SumoInKif

When I look at the preferences in the web interface, the "Fully qualified path and name of the inference engine" value says "C:\Documents". (Actually, the test and TPTPWorld directories say the same thing.)

When I set the inference engine to "C:\Documents and Settings\alanm\My Documents\sigma-2-02\inference\kif.exe" and save, then look at the preferences again, it goes back to saying "C:\Documents". It won't take a value with spaces, which is a problem on Windows.

Workaround: Of course, I can park the directory under c:\temp like any sane windows user hitting the same problem. (Happens all the time.) When I move it to C:\temp, then set the value in preferences to "C:\temp\sigma-2-02\inference\kif.exe", I get more normal results.

Is there a better way to do this? Please advise.

Linux local Vampire expects ASCII input

People.kif cannot be loaded in local Vampire compiled for Linux, but it loads fine in local Vampire compiled for Windows. Apparently, the Windows version can handle non-ASCII input, but the Linux version cannot. The easiest way to address this would be to filter all input before adding assertions to the Linux version, replacing non-ASCII characters with underscores or dashes.

Indenting problem in Graph.jsp

When a term has multiple parents, indenting is sometime wrong. In the graph below, Radiating should be at the same indent level as BodyMotion.
