#4 Credentials stored in plain text
jchilcott has identified this issue:
"I've noticed that if I do not supply the username of the gateway when I create the gateway object, I am not prompted for it when it goes to connect and can only enter a password. Is there a way to set sdtcon to prompt for this information? I would also be interested in locking sdtcon down so that it could not store credentials. I noticed that if I supply credentials they are stored as plain text in the registry. Is there any way to set sdtcon to prompt for this information each time without saving the credentials?"
We should also look at encrypting preferences stored in the registry.
