having support for multiple sessions (connections) would be VERY useful, particularly because it doesn't appear to be possible to start multiple instances of the s2putty client on the s60 platform (?)

I agree. It would be very nice to be able to either have several sessions or start multiple instances. Using screen is not always possible/comfortable.
