Target Setup crashes after replicator.conf OK

Atfer giving my target host a name the installation
tests replicator.conf with return code Syntax OK. Then
a step called modprod follows and fails with: Can't
open dependencies File
/lib/modules/2.4.27-fai/modules.dep (No such File or
directory)

Hmmm ... I never heard about fai till this moment, so I
apt-get fai and fai-kernels and made an repli-miniroot
-u call - but same message. And yes the Folder
/export/miniroot/lib/modules/ is still empty?
