congrats for this so great soft :)
I'm neebie in compiling soft, but it seems there is a bug in 3.8.1 (or maybe i'have did a bad compile). I'm on ubuntu 8.10
The bug i have is :
"When the encoding ends the main window will reappear, unless you have manually hidden it through the tray icon pop up-menu. "--> OK
"After that, you can go at the location you chose to save the file (default is out.ogg in your home directory) and watch your session in your favorite media player. "--> no i have to record a new video and at this moment only the last video.ogg will be saved in the location. So if i want to record a screencast, i record it, and after record a new for be able to see the first.
Do you understand what i want to say ?
Do you think it's a bug ? Is there an particular space to post the bug for gtk-recordmydesktop. Sorry for my so bad english.
Note : when i run gtk-recordmydesktop i have this in the console :
pepe@elcaballou-laptop:~$ gtk-recordMyDesktop
/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/recordMyDesktop/rmdSelectThumb.py:79: GtkWarning: gdk_image_put_pixel: assertion `y >= 0 && y < image->height' failed
im2.put_pixel(k/stride,i/stride,im1.get_pixel(k,i))
/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/recordMyDesktop/rmdPrefsWidget.py:239: GtkWarning: GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated
self.channelsSpinButton= gtk.SpinButton(self.channelsAdjustment, climb_rate=0.5, digits=0)
Thanks a lot !
Best regards,
Hi Mr Nobody,
It is my experience that if one chooses the save location before one records, the recording goes to the location you already chose. So, you should, instead of saving after, click the save button before you record.
But I agree that this is not very intuitive. There probably shouldn't be a save button, because this implies that you should be able to save your recording once you've done it (similar to the gnome 'sound recorder').
More intuitive would be (to keep this current behaviour) to add the save location to the configurations.
Thanks for taking the time to report a bug! This issue is now very old. If the problem still exists, please file an issue at the new GitHub page: https://github.com/Enselic/recordmydesktop
