Yes it was taken out, because the auto-login link broke. In fact, squirrelmail doesn't even work on the control panel port... I for the life of me can't figure out why it broke.
At the very least, you can login to squirrelmail by going to webmail.yourdomain (assuming your DNS is configured for it) or by following the steps here:
