The maemo 5 client: - works, so we will include support for Maemo 5 - is text-based (help on the UI would be very useful, as I have little to no experience in designing GUIs) - reads contacts from /home/user/.osso-abook/db/addressbook.db using the bsddb module and delivers it to the server over ssl - uses version 3 for vcards format - was tested with the maemo 5 sdk The server: - was tested on ubuntu 10.04 x64 - receives strings containing vcards over SSL and saves them in a file (filename supplied by client) - supports authentication (username/password) - can use SSLv2 or SSLv3 There is a client for Symbian S60 also, but it will be uploaded soon. Also installed sl4a [http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting/] + python on an android 2.2 virtual device. C: In my opinion, the sl4a sucks. The API is pretty bad structured and the installing process fails on my real tablet pc. There is no support for exporting contacts to the vcard format in the API. Still, I've heard that there are some Java projects that can export contacts to VCARD 2.1 format.
