No german umlauts in Radicals 1.8

With the german kanjidict installed, Radicals 1.8. shows
no umlauts (äöü) in the meanings field.
I have the following fonts installed:
elisa.prc
knj10.pdb
s8_jos4.prc

PalmDict crashes when press any system button on treo 600

PalmDict 1.8 beta crashes constantly whenever I push
any button like (Home)/(Phone) and so on on my Treo 600.

Radicals 1.8 crashes palm when looking up kanji SJS 9181

When looking up SOU, SETSU, haya(i) (JIS 4161, SJIS
9181) in
Radical 1.8, my palm crashes (soft reset necessary)

It does not matter if I look up the kanji by way of
selecting the first
radical (NICHI, SJIS 93FA), the other (JYOU, SJIS 8F5C)
or both.

Looking up other kanji which contain either or both of
these radicals is
also OK (only a few others tried, not all of them).

Installed versions (from radicals18.zip)
Radicals 1.8, 78552 bytes, 19 records
kanjidic-en, 185715 bytes, 38 records

Installed versions (from Fonts17.zip)
k20m.pdb, 344154 bytes, 6 records
k20b.pdb, 344154 bytes, 6 records
