Not very long ago , I started to observe some weird behavior related only to KeePass windows and auto-type functionality. It seems that KeePass thinks I am holding down the "Shift" key by default, but not every time - it happens randomly. I'm not even sure how to reproduce it consistently.

For example, when I start working with the password manager and try to unlock the database, I accidentally find that all symbols are in uppercase. If I change the focus to another window, such as a browser, and try to type something, I see all symbols in lowercase. After that, if I return to the KeePass window, everything works normally again.

Needless to say, I have already checked the "sticky keys" options in Windows settings - all are disabled.

Infromation about software:
OS: Windows 11 24H2
KeePass: 2.57.1

I have never seen this behaviour in KeePass, nor reported here.

If the Caps Lock is on, KeePass warns you.

Are you entering the password on the Secure Desktop?
Do you change keyboard layouts to enter the password?
Do you have any plug-ins? Take them out and test.

    cheers, Paul

Sorry for the long response. I will try to test what you suggested
I know that KeePass warns about Caps Lock , but I have never seen this warning within the time of the bug
I always use the QWERTY layout and only have a second language enabled, aslo never use secure desktop
Of course , I have some plugins installed, but they were updated before the bug appeared
      The list of plug-ins:

      • GlobalSearch
      • KeePassOTP
      • KPEnhancedEntryView
      • KPEntryTemplates|
      • LockAssist
      • WebAutoType

Does this only happen when KeePass Auto-Types or when you type in KeePass?

    cheers, Paul

Before I performed a clean Windows install (because of other problems), I had experienced this behavior in both situations.
But now I have this behavior only during auto-type.
Moreover, I found the root cause of this problem.

      I have a hotkey to perform auto-type: "Shift+Alt+Z."
And I am also a notebook user, so I set up four-finger taps in "Windows Settings > Touchpad > Advanced gestures " to emulate this key sequence.
It's weird enough, but I can reproduce this behavior only when using the touchpad.
I can also remediate this behavior by putting {DELAY 1000} at the start of the auto-type sequence.
