This bug was really nasty. Took some time to get it, together with the side effects. A new version with bug fixes and added features can be found: http://mygogrinder.sourceforge.net/download.html
I've named it version 0.5.0 .The last-card-problem is gone, the lost-card-problem either, you can reset the settings, if the program doesn't anymore start, and some more bugs are gone. I added also some features, e.g. nice sound for right/wrong, some more categories, problem files, it remembers the last directory, you can switch the look&feel (not important, just playing with the code), and...

Maybe Ross takes the code on his page?

To those, who are interested:
This and some more problems in JsekiTsumego have been corrected by me (bug hunting was a lot of work). I have also added some features. You can look at the program and the code (in the .jar): http://mygogrinder.sourceforge.net/download.html ; (it is currently version "0.5.0"). The page has the download together with the description of some features. If Ross wants to take the program back, he can offer this version here in his area. Ruediger from Luebeck

jseki issue

Hi, I just downloaded Jseki and was willing to try it... So i indicated one of my kgs accounts ( with only 3 games played) but the programm seems unable to retrieve the information from KGS archives. It's been running for about 15 min now, and the process is still at 0% so I figure there's something wrong ? I'm under Linux Ubuntu 9.10 / gnome, if that helps. Thanks for the support ! Double clicking on records isn't doing anything, and clicking 'filter records' is the same. As far as I can tell, nothing happens.
I would like to see just the 19x19 records.
Do you have any ideas as to what might be happening?

Going through the problems, one of the L+1 problems is incorrect - the "answer" is "Black is dead", but black may live easily. I put it on eidogo so you can see.

Hi, a complete rank graph would be nice since kgs offers only the rank graph of the last year. Also adding the choice to select in which period you want to see this graph would be nice
