I think it would be good to have the option to output to jack as well. When jack is running it hogs the soundcard, so the way it currently is the user needs two soundcards so he can talk and hear.
It is also customary for jack applications to always show the ports, not only when they are needed. I guess the current implementation just connects to the first two jack ports it finds, which might be totally wrong. The user should be able to decide where he want the audio routed.
I would like to request full jack support. I do the Open Source Musician Podcast and it would help creating a sane and open source solution to remote podcasting.

Same as hollunder, i'm developing an echo cancellation system using Jack; it would have been great to test it on I hear U, but without the In and Out using jack and the access to the ports... it's not possible :'(
I hope it will come soon.
