Recent changes to support-requests

Notifier 1.6 not working in Suse 9.1.

I downloaded Notifier 1.6 and untarred it in my
/home/username/bin directory. I made sure I have the
required interpreters/libraries.....I have:

mobile AMD64 3400+ (but running 32bit linux)
32bit Suse 9.1 with kde 3.3
python 2.3.3-88.9
pythongtk 2.0.0-212
gtk 2.2.4-125.4

Upon trying to run notify, the following error is
returned by the shell.
dr, ~/bin/gmail-notify-1.6 > ./notifier.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./notifier.py", line 14, in ?
import xmllangs
File "/home/dr/bin/gmail-notify-1.6/xmllangs.py",
line 34, in ?
from xml.sax.handler import ContentHandler
ImportError: No module named xml.sax.handler

Problem with pytrayicon in FC3

I'm trying to use GMail Notifier 1.6.

However, when I run notifier.py, I get the following
message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./notifier.py", line 16, in ?
import pytrayicon
ImportError:
/home/palu/utils/gmail-notify-1.6/pytrayicon.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

There IS a file called pytrayicon.so in the directory.

Notifier Not Updating Correctly

Hello,

I am running Gentoo on Kernel 2.6.10. The notifier does
not seem to be updating correctly. When I read a mail
message, it do not change itself to no new mails it
stays at new messages. and when i first log in before i
get any new mails it connects bu the popup indicated
that it is still connecting. One last this, when i get ONE
email it always tells me that I have TWO new emails no
matter what. I am hoping that I am just installing it
wrong or am missing some settings. Please help me.
