For the Screen readout output, please move the heading text from the paragraph up into the blue heading bars & indent the heading bars to indicate the level heirarchy.

Abbr tags

The "abbr" tag is used to help screen readers output better information. For example
<abbr class="country-name" title="Australia">AU</abbr>
in a screenreader should pronounce "Australia" not "AU

This information does not seem to be reflected in Fangs.

Update mozilla addons entry

It looks as though the https://addons.mozilla.org entry for Fangs has not been maintained (last update April 2005) - the extension is labeled as experimental status and can not be accessed.

From reviewing the developer's section (http://addons.mozilla.org/developers/), it seems that updating the record is now trivial (I believe that it used to be more complex).

Could Fangs be added to the main Firefox addons repository to make finding updating easier please?

Better representation of data for testing

Hi there,

I have to test a website with JAWS and Fangs. Fangs is
great(!!!) but could you include some form of display,
that shows all data of the three tabs with a
possibility of cut&pasing it to Word. Maybe a html
rendering would suffice too but at the moment the only
propper way of doing this is a screenshot and that's
tedious.

Flash support

Many screen readers support, to some degree, the
interpretation of Flash files. I'd love to see this
support emulated in future versions of Fangs!
Otherwise, a great program...

Have more visual space between blocked elements

Would be nice if some of the block elements (headings,
lists, blockquotes, paragraphs, etc) were shown on the
screen on a new line (like a new paragraph).

This "visual pause", in effect, is realistic I believe,
because Jaws and other screen readers also have natural
pauses between such blocks.

This will also improve usability for developers.

When using this for testing, it can be hard to jump to
somewhere in the middle to find a change that was made,
for example.

Let user customize colours etc of output

The white on black output is too high a contrast for
me. (version 0.8). Prior versions used firefox or
operating system background color, not sure which (or
maybe it was something else).

Would it be possible to allow user's to customize these
things? Ironically this is a tool for seeing how blind
users might see the page, but the tool itself is
causing problems for someone with poor vision :)
