I am having a similar problem as the attached ticket. I've uninstalled Civ 4 and reinstalled (several times - I purchased/downloaded via GOG). I cannot find any files relative to the BUG mod and am therefore unable to remove them. First, I was able to open the game but it lacked the interface so impossible to play. Now every time I try to play BTS (after a fresh uninstall/reinstall), I get the first few opening visuals but when I click "launch", the game just closes. Really frustrating. At this point, I'd like to get rid of BUG mod files and just have access to playing the game. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

#83 Cannot Uninstall

Not sure if anyone is still tracking these tickets. It was working earlier, so not sure what I must have done.

Have done an mod un-install and re-install, and also uninstalled and re-installed the game (civ4 and bts). I am using the steam version, and only have BUG and BAT installed (as multi-player).

Assuming this is hung up in the registry somewhere since I also cleared out all my user profile information when re-installing, but that's just an uneducated guess on my part. Thanks very much - I really love this mod and have played it for countless hours!

Power Ratio is missing

Ticket 85 has been modified: Power Ratio is missing
See attached screenshot.

This didn't happen until I installed BUG 4.4 mod. I installed it into the \Beyond the Sword\Mods\ folder, not Custom Assets.

If I quit the game, restart it, then generate a completely new game without turning on BUG, then all unit flags appear as normal. So it's confirmed to be something with the way I'm using BUG.

I did a quick Google and CFC forum search and found one other person mentioning it [ http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10034284&postcount=58 ], but there's no response from anyone else and no followup from him. He doesn't say if he was using BUG or not. It's also not clear if it's exactly the same issue, because he implies that even his own units get the same yellow flag, while from my screenshot you can see that my own units are correctly assigned the Indian civ colors.

Please let me know what other documentation or troubleshooting steps would be helpful. I can post a save if needed.

Cannot Uninstall

Hi. I installed BUG a couple days ago and ended up not being able to play it. I received an erro message saying "cannot find mod.ini" and my interface screen wasn't visible. I tried to uninstall Civ 4 in order to get rid of the mod and return my game to a playable condition. However, now, after several reinstall/uninstalls, my game is still buggy, even when I don't install BUG on top of an installation. I still received the "cannot find.." message and my game lacks an interface. I've even done uninstalls using Revo uninstaller, which deletes everything up to and including registry elements, but the game is still fubar. Please, help me to fix this problem so that I can repair and play my game. My contact info is teleik@gmail.com

*I tried uinstalling the game instead of BUG becaue the .exe never offered an uinstall option. I would recommend that such an option be included in future releases to avoid this issue from occuring to other people.

CvAltRoot.py file usage, loading a saved game

Opperating System Ubuntu 10.04.2 32 bit

I've amended the CvAltRoot.py file to get this mod to load under Linux (Ubuntu), but I can only load a saved game, once a new game is opened up and then load the saved game.

Problem seems to be with the Civilization 4.ini file path, this is wrong on system tab information.

can see units

I can not see the units
