Hello and thanks for BeeBeep!
I'm using a dark background on windows 7 : the main window background remains clear (which is ok as the font is black), but the chat window background is dark (it matches the window background color set by Windows7).
It would be great if the font and background color of all the BeeBeep windows could match the default Windows 7 colors (in my case light grey over dark grey) and that in the chat windows the default font color could be the Windows 7 font color instead of black. Otherwise, the ability to customize background and default font colors would be a good alternative !
Thanks again and keep up the good work !

Hello!
You are right... BeeBEEP will match Window colors in the next release from 4.2.0...
For now in 4.2.0 I will fix background color in chat and message to white (as userlist)...
The main problem is give to all users a default... For example if your teammate user a lighter theme and you want to write your message in "white" color, maybe he cannot read the message...
BeeBEEP users write in so many different colors, and I have to think about it, to give them a standard...
Can you send me screenshots of other windows like "log" (from Main menu) and file transfer and sharing windows? Thank you! :)
Hi Marco and thanks for the quick reply.
I understand the issue regarding chat messages colors, and was actually suggesting that for systems where the window background is dark (like darker than #808080) text that would normally be displayed in black would be shown in white. This could probably be extended to any greyscale color. I would not say it should work for the full spectrum as it's likely to become tricky and end up being inconsistent.
I've attached a screenshot of the other windows as requested. As you can see they all use the windows defaults (light grey text on dark grey background) and look perfectly fine.
FYI I'm using the colors from the Placebo Ashtray theme (https://solmiler.deviantart.com/art/Placebo-for-Windows-7-188414149).
Thanks heaps for looking into this and being so reactive !
Actually, the most logical behavior would maybe simply to retrieve the window text color from Windows and set this color to the default text color in the chat area. This way there would be no color manipulation needed at all ...
I don't understand why it can't be like the other windows, where we choose our own background and text color? Mine is stuck on white, even in dark background (Win7 & v5.4.2) Very hard on the eyes.
You cannot, for now. I have to fix the background to white to let all the users select their font color.
It is difficult for a user select a color for his messages if he cannot know how that color will be displayed in others (someone can have a green background, green on green is invisible).
So ... I can make background selectable, but I have to fix foreground color.
In the modern messanger people cannot select a custom foreground color for their messages...
I have to think about it.... I will find a solution for your eyes...
Hey Marco,
How can we access "Screen Capture" feature in beebeep messanger.
Here i have atteched screenshot for more details.
That option is for Desktop Sharing...
My advice is to not "play" too much with that value. I did several tests and leaving it at around 2000 ms is the best solution.
If you want to send a screenshot of your screen to a user, you can use the "Take a screenshot" button in the chat toolbar.
