Pink is an image processing library developed at ESIEE Engineering for research and teaching purposes. It contains implementations of over 200 algorithms for image segmentation and filtering.

This library contains among other things a set of graphical widgets for video output, performance evaluation and augmented reality. The library also provides classes for several data types usually required by computer vision and image processing applications such as vectors, matrices, quaternions and images. Thanks to a large number of wrapper functions these objects can be used with highly efficient functionality from third party libraries such as OpenCV, GNU Scientific Library, Computational Geometry Algorithms Library, Intel's Math Kernel Library and Integrated Performance Primitives, the Octave library, etc...

The RTToolbox was designed following object-oriented design principles and was implemented in the language C++. It supports the import of radiotherapy data (e.g. dose distributions and structure sets) from DICOM-RT format and other standard image processing formats by using a bridge to ITK. The RTToolbox supports the full range of radiotherapy evaluation. Tools such as DVH calculation, arithmetic operations on dose distributions and structure relationship analysis are provided as a basis for further calculations. Dose comparison indices such as Conformity Index (CI), Homogeneity Index (HI) and Conformation Number (CN), and biological models including TCP, NTCP, EUD and BED are determined from dose distributions and DVHs. WrapImaJ purposes to be a multi-platform wrapper for different Image Processing systems for: - using the Java programming language. The purpose of WrapImaJ is not to combine an exhaustive collection of all functionalities of different imaging system, but to offer a simple, concise Application Programming Interface (API) - allowing to develop imaging software, the source code of which is independent from the underlying imaging system on which it relies. In it's current form, it only wraps basic functionalities of ImageJ. The developers of WrapImaJ intend the library to support compatibilty with the main imaging systems available in the Java language and broadly used in the field of life sciences.

blitz-image is a library to support extremely fast image processing in java, harnessing GPU acceleration via OpenCL. Although more features will be added in time, the initial focus is on very fast high-quality image resizing, including bicubic resizing (both upscale and downscale). The performance of a typical bicubic upscale operation is typically in the order of 10 times faster than via the standard AWT mechanism using RenderingHints.VALUE_INTERPOLATION_BICUBIC. The library depends on Aparapi (https://code.google.com/p/aparapi/). Any GPU supporting OpenCL should be supported (including low-end GPUs without double-precision fp support), and there is automatic fallback to pure java implementations for all operations in the event that there is no OpenCL support available. A high-level API allows for very easy use from AWT/Swing, whilst the low-level array-based API allows integration with any imaging framework (e.g. from Android or SWT).

GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets.
