    Promxy is a prometheus proxy that makes many shards of prometheus appear as a single API endpoint to the user. This significantly simplifies operations and use of prometheus at scale (when you have more than one prometheus host). Promxy delivers this unified access endpoint without requiring any sidecars, custom-builds, or other changes to your prometheus infrastructure. Prometheus itself provides no real HA/clustering support. As such the best-practice is to run multiple (e.g N) hosts with the same config. Similarly prometheus has no real built-in query federation, which means that you end up with N sources in grafana which is (1) confusing to grafana users and (2) has no support for aggregation across the sources. Promxy enables an HA prometheus setup by "merging" the data from the duplicate hosts (so if there is a gap in one, promxy will fill with the other). In addition Promxy provides a single datasource for all promql queries.

You will need an instance of DockerClientConfig to tell the library how to access Docker, which credentials to use to pull from Docker registries, etc. The builder is available and allows you to configure every property of the client. Should you need to customize the Jackson's ObjectMapper used by docker-java, you can create your own DockerClientConfig. Once you decided which transport to use, you will need to instantiate an HTTP client. Once you have an HTTP client, you can make raw requests to the Docker daemon directly. To get an instance of DockerClient, you need to pass both DockerClientConfig and DockerHttpClient.

    A crazy fast HTTP router, internally uses a highly performant Radix Tree (aka compact Prefix Tree), supports route params, wildcards, and it's framework is independent. You can set a custom length for parameters in parametric (standard, regex and multi) routes by using maxParamLength option, the default value is 100 characters. If you are using a regex-based route, find-my-way will throw an error if detects potentially catastrophic exponential-time regular expressions (internally uses safe-regex2). According to RFC3986, find-my-way is case-sensitive by default. You can disable this by setting the caseSensitive option to false: in that case, all paths will be matched as lowercase, but the route parameters or wildcards will maintain their original letter casing.

    Plow is an HTTP(S) benchmarking tool, written in Golang. It uses excellent fast HTTP instead of Go's default net/http due to its lightning-fast performance. Plow runs at specified connections (option -c) concurrently and real-time records summary statistics, histogram of execution time and calculates percentiles to display on Web UI and terminal. It can run for a set duration( option -d), for a fixed number of requests(option -n), or until Ctrl-C is interrupted. Responses have a problem property to help guide exception flow, attach functions that get called each request, attach functions that change all request or response data. Detects connection issues (on React Native). The only required property is baseURL and it should be the starting point for your API. It can contain a sub-path and a port as well. The responses are promise-based, so you'll need to handle things in a .then() function. The promise is always resolved with a response object. Even if there was a problem with the request! This is one of the goals of this library. It ensures sane calling code without having to handle .catch and has 2 separate flows.

    This crate is a general purpose library for common types found when working with the HTTP protocol. You’ll find Request and Response types for working as either a client or a server as well as all of their components. Notably you’ll find Uri for what a Request is requesting, a Method for how it’s being requested, a StatusCode for what sort of response came back, a Version for how this was communicated, and HeaderName/HeaderValue definitions to get grouped in a HeaderMap to work with request/response headers. You will notably not find an implementation of sending requests or spinning up a server in this crate. It’s intended that this crate is the “standard library” for HTTP clients and servers without dictating any particular implementation. Note that this crate is still early on in its lifecycle so the support libraries that integrate with the http crate are a work in progress! Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to highlight crates here in the future.

It comfortably handles tens of thousands of requests/sec on even midrange hardware. Here is another test about how it stacks up with others. It's not only fast, but efficient! Each connection costs nothing but a few kB of memory. RAM usage grows O(n) with connections. Written from the ground-up to be lean, the entire client/server is available as a single ~90kB JAR with zero dependencies and ~3k lines of (mostly Java) code. Synchronous is simple. Asynchronous is fast & flexible.

Elastic4s's DSL allows you to construct your requests programatically, with syntactic and semantic errors manifested at compile time, and uses standard Scala futures to enable you to easily integrate into an asynchronous workflow. The aim of the DSL is that requests are written in a builder-like way, while staying broadly similar to the Java API or Rest API. Each request is an immutable object, so you can create requests and safely reuse them, or further copy them for derived requests. Because each request is strongly typed your IDE or editor can use the type information to show you what operations are available for any request type.

In this blog post, I'd like to introduce you to two packages that we recently released. The first is laravel-webhook-server, which allows you to send webhook requests. The second one is laravel-webhook-client, which makes it easy to receive those webhook request. Webhooks are very useful when a system wants to be notified as soon as something happens in another system. Let's make that a bit less abstract and take a look at a real-world example. laravel-webhook-server allows you to configure and send webhooks in a Laravel app easily. So you'll install this into the app that wants to notify other apps that something has happened. The package has support for signing calls, retrying calls, and backoff strategies.

It embraces the concept of middleware when processing the request/response cycle. Define module with use Tesla and choose from a variety of middleware. Tesla is built around the concept of composable middlewares. This is very similar to how Plug Router works. All HTTP functions, such as Tesla.get/3 and Tesla.post/4, can take a dynamic client as the first argument. This allows using convenient syntax for modifying the behavior in runtime. Tesla supports multiple HTTP adapter that do the actual HTTP request processing. Each piece of the stream will be encoded as JSON and sent as a new line (conforming to JSON stream format). You can set the adapter to Tesla.Mock in tests.
