CVE-2021-31166
Remote HTTP.sys use-after-free triggered remotely
This is a proof of concept for CVE-2021-31166 ("HTTP Protocol Stack Remote Code Execution Vulnerability"), a use-after-free dereference in http.sys patched by Microsoft in May 2021. The bug itself happens in http!UlpParseContentCoding where the function has a local LIST_ENTRY and appends an item to it. When it's done, it moves it into the Request structure; but it doesn't NULL out the local list. The issue with that is that an attacker can trigger a code-path that frees every entry of the local list leaving them dangling in the Request object. -

This is a tiny Go package that wraps HTTP handlers to transparently gzip the response body, for clients which support it. Although it's usually simpler to leave that to a reverse proxy (like nginx or Varnish), this package is useful when that's undesirable. Call GzipHandler with any handler (an object which implements the http.Handler interface), and it'll return a new handler which gzips the response. -

PSR-7 did not include a recommendation on how to create HTTP objects, which leads to difficulties when needing to create new HTTP objects within components that are not tied to a specific implementation of PSR-7. An HTTP factory is a method by which a new HTTP object, as defined by PSR-7, is created. HTTP factories MUST implement these interfaces for each object type that is provided by the package. -

Most of the GitHub APIs are covered, although there are some corners that are still not yet implemented. The library allows connecting to GitHub via several different authentication mechanisms. This library defines a common convention so that applications using this library will look at a consistent location. In this convention, the library looks at ~/.github property file. The content of the files depends on the way you want this library to authenticate as shown. -
