...If not running macOS, or you don't like Homebrew, you can use pip. On Ubuntu, pip will install to the current user's home directory rather than system-wide. Because of this, when installing pip on Ubuntu you will need to run pip install with the --system flag as well (on other platforms this is not needed). Up the Sync is a basic Google docs synchronizing program written in Java. It auto-syncs every 5 minutes by default, and can run quietly in the system tray. If the user updates a document on their computer the Google docs version is also updated.
